Otto Terms of Use

01Agreeing to these terms

These terms are about Otto, the focus app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and the website that introduces it. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them. “We” and “us” mean the team that makes Otto.

If you download Otto from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app, and Apple is not responsible for Otto or its support. If you download Otto from Google Play, Google Play’s Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases.

02What Otto is

Otto is a focus and decoration app for personal, non-commercial use. It helps you structure focus time, and it does not guarantee any particular result. It is not medical or professional advice.

03Deep Focus

Deep Focus is available on iPhone and iPad. It relies on compatible Apple devices, your permissions and how iOS behaves. It cannot block all access to distracting apps, and it does not replace a device’s safety or parental controls. You can revoke its authorization or stop using it at any time.

04Shells, pearls, wishes and items

Shells, pearls, wishes and threads are virtual in-app rewards. They have no cash value, and they cannot be redeemed for money or transferred through the app. You earn them under the rules shown in Otto, and those rules may change as the app develops.

Wish clams reveal surprise items. The odds are shown in the app, wishes are never sold, and the Wish Clam Lagoon can be switched off in Settings.

05Otto Pro

Otto Pro is optional and offered where the app shows it, as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices and what is included are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account settings.
• Refund requests are handled by the store you bought from, under its own terms.

If Pro ends, whatever you already bought with shells stays yours. You lose the ability to buy new Pro items and rooms, and access to Pro tasks, until you subscribe again.

06Advertising

Otto may show ads provided by Google AdMob and its partners. We do not create these ads or endorse what they promote, and anything you do with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. Please do not interfere with ads, or generate fake views or taps. Our Privacy Policy explains the data involved and your choices.

07Your data and backups

Otto keeps your data on your device and does not offer accounts or cloud sync. You are responsible for keeping a backup before you uninstall the app or change devices. Restoring a backup replaces the app’s current data rather than merging with it. How we handle information is described in the Privacy Policy.

08Using Otto fairly

When using Otto or this website, please do not:

• break the law, or use them to harm or mislead others;
• copy, resell or redistribute the app or its artwork;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• interfere with the website or try to reach restricted areas;
• suggest that we have partnered with or endorsed you when we have not.

09Otto’s artwork and name

Otto’s name, characters, paintings, sounds, software and this website belong to their owners and licensors. We give you a personal, revocable right to use the app as these terms allow. Fonts, recordings and software components may have their own licenses. You are welcome to share links to this site.

10Other companies’ services

Otto relies on services from other companies, including Apple and Google, and the website may link to other websites. Those companies set their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control them.

11Changes to Otto

We may add, change or remove features, rooms, items and rewards, and we may pause or end the app or this website. Information here about upcoming features or release dates is not a promise that they will happen.

12Warranties and responsibility

Otto and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about their accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, profits or opportunities. Nothing in these terms removes rights that consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

13Applicable law

The laws of Vietnam govern these terms, and disputes may be brought before a competent court in Vietnam, subject to any mandatory rights you have where you live. If something goes wrong, please write to us first so we can try to put it right.

14Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as Otto changes, and we will revise the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Otto after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. Where the law requires more notice or consent, we will provide or ask for it.
